Icon of Saints Sergius and Bacchus

As usual, the two saints are pictured as nearly identical young men identically dressed. The hand crosses are the usual way of identifying martyrs in Orthodox icons, and the golden collars refer to the iron ones that the Emperor Maximian ordered to be hung on their necks.

This icon has been reproduced on a Ukrainian postage stamp.
